OUR FABULOUS FOUNDERS
Lynne Kunins, Executive Director of FLIPANY, is dedicated to improving the health of today’s youth and empowering families to make healthy choices. As a certified Low Ropes Facilitator, her time is spent with groups of all ages facilitating cooperative games and team building initiatives reinforcing the importance of good nutrition and daily physical activity. Lynne’s enthusiasm and dedication are obvious, as she trains staff, meets with community leaders, and promotes healthy lifestyles.
Dr. Krista Cassaza, Ph.D., RD, has 15 years of experience teaching nutrition to youth. Her doctoral research included over 250 students from schools throughout the county. The outcomes from her research were presented at the Society for Nutrition Education and American Dietetic Association and results were published in these society’s journals. Krista has been awarded two fellowships for the completion of these studies and has successfully utilized the funding to produce programs aimed at improving the dietary and physical activity patterns of adolescents in South Florida.

Jeannie Necessary is employed as a Program Manager/Cooking Matters Coordinator for FLIPANY, having joined FLIPANY 2011. Ms. Necessary has over 11 years of experience in program and project coordination, mentoring and outreach, troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and 4 years in non-profit industries. Prior to joining FLIPANY, she worked as the Program Coordinator for a countywide edible garden initiative. Ms. Necessary oversees the coordination of the Cooking Matters program and manages other projects at FLIPANY. She holds a BS in Communications and Political Science from the University of Miami.
Kerri Louati, RD, LD is a registered and licensed dietitian with a background in comprehensive and preventative medicine. Kerri graduated from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA where she learned the foundation of how healthy lifestyles can prevent chronic diseases and promote wellness. An important component to her education also included how to make the nutrition education applicable and realistic to people’s daily lives. By teaching people how to cook healthy meals and incorporate physical activity into the daily regime, people can learn the skills to make those changes. Kerri is passionate about bringing creativity back to the kitchen and making exercise fun! Kerri plans to spread awareness about nutrition and lifestyle modifications to improve the health of our community!
