OUR SUCCESSES
FLIPANY currently provides physical education
classes to private schools serving over 200
students. This is accomplished during school
hours, PE class is included in the daily class
schedule. These classes serve two purposes;
first, teachers are given a planning period
during the day; second, students participate
in daily physical activity with insturuction
from a fitness professional. This provides the
opportunity for students to learn proper gross and motor skills for their age and develop these skills on an ongoing basis. Upon returning to class these students are more focused on their classwork.
FLIPANY kicked off its first Operation Frontline cooking class series with the National Football League (NFL), Johnson and Wales University, celebrity chefs and NFL football players. Super Bowl XLI’s The World Table youth diversity program kicked off Operation Frontline in South Florida, a chef-led nutrition education program being launched by Share Our Strength and FLIPANY. During the month of January, the program combined the power of celebrity chefs and the NFL to inspire teens to lead healthier lifestyles through nutrition and increased physical activity. This partnership will continue and provide additional cooking classes in 2010 when the Super Bowl returns to South Florida.

" I think the Eating Right class was interesting and informative. It taught me how to eat and shop properly for food that is healthy and nutritious. I am passing the recipe onto to my daughter-in-laws so they can make good food choices for my grandchildren."
